★ ★ ★ ★ ★Easy with great communication…“the telephone system is extremely important for our business
Hosted ‘Voice over Internet Protocol’ (VoIP), in the form of hosted cloud or hosted ‘Private Branch Exchange’ (PBX) systems has all the features of a traditional business phone system, but with significant cost savings and increased flexibility. Extremely cost effective to install, VoIP offers more affordable phone bills and call costs than those of a traditional business telephone system.
VoIP takes your audio recording and turns it into digital signals before using your broadband connection to send those as data. At the other end, the data is transferred back into audio for the person on the other end of the ‘line’. The process is the same as that of a normal telephone line, except that the conversation takes place over the internet. All exchanges are completely secure as our hosted phone platform is a closed, data-encrypted system.
These terms get thrown around sometimes interchangeably, but they are different. VoIP is a protocol that transfers voice data, but it doesn’t always have to run on the cloud. Some installations of a VoIP system are locally hosted, however, these systems are slightly more expensive than a cloud solution. That is why most businesses opt for cloud hosting using the VoIP protocol which is simple to use, makes it easy to change providers and incurs lower upfront costs.
Cloud telephony systems allow businesses to provide advanced customer services such as auto attendants, switchboards, instant messaging, and video conferencing. But, also allow the business themselves to record calls, gather data, access dashboards, CRM integration, on hold marketing, all whilst being able to work from anywhere and across any device. Call quality is another key benefit of a cloud based system, advanced features allow VOIP phones to increase the clarity of the call, enabling business communications to be seamless and uninterrupted.
The prices of a cloud based business phone system are bespoke to each customer depending on their business needs and feature requirements. For small businesses the costs are minimalised by using a software/application solution only and are charged per user / per line. For larger teams which might need more physical telephone devices around the office / call center / on the road / workshop then the prices are dependent on the users, accessories and features required to match their business’s needs.
You need to ensure you have a high speed internet connection. While this may cost extra, the reduced cost of calls is likely to more than offset any investment. You may also like a physical phone handset or a softphone for your computer/laptop.
The time it takes to install your new business phone system depends on a number of factors, such as the size of the business, the type of phone system being installed and the complexity of the installation. Systems using only softphone apps can be installed and configured in a very short amount of time. Whereas installations with physical hardware can take slightly longer to install and configure to your requirements.
The analog phone system will be completely retired from service in 2027. This means you will be required to upgrade your business service soon if you want to keep taking calls. Booking your upgrade now is advised to prevent chance of cut-off.
No, you do not need a business landline, and by landline we are talking the actual copper cable system. The traditional landline as we know it is being scrapped and the UK is evolving towards internet powered phone solutions.
Yes, you would need a business number in order for your business to be called by conventional methods.
We will port your current phone number or provide you with a UK business phone number if required.
Yes, in most cases you can keep the same business phone number and the change in system will not interrupt trade.
